Local supporter groups

Volunteers support the work of the Trust and help to raise its profile at a local level in a number of ways. These include organising events for the public, and raising valuable funds, through local supporter groups.

Over 1,000 such events are held every year and range from hands-on activities such as moth watching evenings and river dipping sessions to illustrated talks on wildlife and a wide variety of environmental topics. Details of the events can be found in our diary of events.

Currently 8 local supporter groups support the work of the Trust in the county, and all are run by dedicated groups of volunteers. They can be found in - Calne; Chippenham & District; Malmesbury; Pewsey Vale (including Devizes); South West Wiltshire; Swindon; Warminster and Wootton Bassett.
