Sara Cundy, WWT

Sara joined the Trust in July 2007 as Administration Co-ordinator, a year later she became Waste Minimisation Officer. Sara’s role involves overseeing the work of the Compost Ambassadors in encouraging the residents of Wiltshire to compost at home. Sara’s role within the waste team also involves advice on SMART shopping, reducing food waste, and promoting food waste digesters as well as more general advice on recycling.

Sara also has a voluntary role as the Fairtrade Co-ordinator for Wiltshire, based at the Trust. This brings together the various Fairtrade groups within the county. The Wiltshire Fairtrade Coalition meets on a quarterly basis to support Fairtrade groups throughout the county; one of its main tasks is to co-ordinate activities during Fairtrade Fortnight each year, which normally takes place at the end of February. The coalition is also working towards achieving Fairtrade County status for Wiltshire.
