Take a walk on the wild side on our unique Sarsen-

Trail and you'll be taking a walk back in time through the heart of an ancient landscape between Redhorn Hill and Old Carter Barracks near Bulford on a fun-filled, family experience to treasure.

The 15-mile walk is suitable for those wanting a longer level walk over Salisbury; the route starts at Redhorn Hill and finishes at Old Carter Barracks. You should allow 4-5 hours for this walk.

This event is open to all ages but under 16's must be accompanied by an adult due to several busy roads that the route crosses.

All participants receive a medal at the finish. Dogs are welcome on the walk but must be kept on leads at all times, if you wish to enter your dog for £5 they will receive a rosette and some dog treats at the finish.

We have unique access to Salisbury Plain for this event. Due to military activities, unexploded ordnance and the presence of nesting curlews, we do not have the detailed route until the week before the event.

Car Parking and Shuttle Bus Transport

Parking is available at Old Carter Barracks and Redhorn. All vehicles are parked entirely at the owner's risk. A free bus shuttle service operates between locations and start and finish points. Dogs are welcome on the shuttle buses but must be kept on leads at all times.

If you are wishing to use the parking facilities at Old Carter Barracks or Redhorn, please state which car park and how many vehicles (quantity) you are wishing to park there, at the bottom of the entry form.

An information pack will be sent to all participants from 7th May onwards. If you have not received your pack by 21st May please contact us on (01380) 736069.

No refunds are available for non-attendance.

How you are helping Wiltshire Wildlife Trust

Entry fees cover the cost of running this event and raise much-needed funds for our work recreating, restoring and reconnecting habitats and landscapes throughout Wiltshire and Swindon. All profits from this event go to our Environment and Sustainability Fund which provides third-party and match-funding contributions for Landfill Tax Credits and other grant funders. This means your support can unlock additional funding for the Trust's work.

So to help give that little extra, make a fundraiser page on our website and get your family and friends to sponsor you to do the 15-mile walk; because just £25 from each runner, walker and cyclist we could raise £50,000 for our vital conservation work.

We look forward to seeing you WALK IT - ENJOY IT!
