Fantastic Flowers Family Event
Join us as we discover more about plants. We will be finding out how water travels through plants, painting pots and planting them with wildflower seeds and going on a walk to discover what spring plants are around. This family event is being offered as a joint initiative between the Trust and Plantlife as part of the Wild About Plants Project.

Langford Lakes appealThe Trust has launched an appeal for funds towards the cost of creating a spectacular new wetland habitat at its Langford Lakes Nature Reserve. 10 hectares of meadow and 300 metres of the River Wylye have been bought by the Trust to add to the existing Reserve in South Wiltshire. This offers a unique opportunity to create a valuable new wetland benefiting a wide range of wildlife. Sandpool Appeal
Over the coming months work will begin at Sandpool Nature Reserve to enable us to manage the site. A new cattle handling system, "the roundhouse" will be erected enabling us to house our cattle in the worst of weathers. At the same time new fencing, hedging and paths will be created giving better access. But of course we will also be undertaking a host of works to improve the site for wildlife including a new hibernaculum for the lizards and Grass Snakes found here, new ponds for Great Crested Newts, bumble bee banks and a new wildlife orchard. Help us to do more for wildlife by donating to our appeal.
Children's eco-play to kick off Tidworth's Roadshow
A performance of the eco-play ‘Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’ will kick off the Trust’s Greener Living Roadshow in Tidworth at the Clarendon Junior School on Wednesday 24th March, 3.30pm.
Come to free compost training
The Trust is set to recruit more Compost Ambassadors to join its growing network of 130 trained volunteers across Wiltshire by holding a free one-day training session in central Devizes on Sunday 28th March and another at Langford Lakes nature reserve on Saturday 24th April.
