Care Farm Education and Wellbeing Officer Salary: Term time: £20,132 to £21,924 depending on experience Full time: £24,180 -£24,765 depending on experience Hours: 1 x 37.5 hours pro rata term time only (40 weeks) at The Willows Care Farm 1 x 37.5 hours per week (full time) at Lakeside Care Farm Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is a leading conservation charity in the UK and has an excellent reputation for the development of ‘green prescriptions’, working to improve people’s wellbeing through engagement with the natural environment. This work is the basis of our alternative education provision and has proved successful and popular with a wide range of students and their carers. Due to this we are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Education and Wellbeing Officers to support and shape our expanding Care Farm provision. Working alongside the Care Farms’ Manager, Team Leaders and our experienced staff team, we are seeking to recruit inspiring, knowledgeable and committed staff to support and deliver the programmes of alternative provision at Lakeside and The Willows Care Farms. The post holders will be responsible for leading the daily delivery of nature-based therapeutic activities for children, young people and adults with additional needs, mental health, social and communication difficulties and those in need of emotional support. Experience of working with children and young people with additional needs is essential, as is an understanding of person-centred practice and the use of nature, horticulture, animals and creativity to support the holistic education of the children and young people with whom we work.
