Swindon Community Wellbeing
Supporting mental wellbeing through nature and community connection.
The new Swindon Community Wellbeing Programme aims to support people who are experiencing mental health difficulties connect with nature and their local community.
What is it?
We provide 12-week programmes during which participants will spend time outdoors, in a small friendly group, doing a range of activities like:
- Nature walks and practical conservation tasks
- Creative sessions using natural materials
- Visits to local nature reserves and green spaces
You don’t need any experience – just come as you are.
Who is it for?
The programme is for adults who live in Swindon, or who use support services in the town, living with mental health issues or who are experiencing loneliness and isolation.
This is a safe, welcoming space where you can take a breath, try something new, and find a sense of belonging.
We offer:
- Free minibus pick-up and drop-off from Swindon train station
- Hot drinks and healthy snacks each week (just bring a packed lunch and some water)
- Follow-on support after the programme ends
- A chance to meet others, try new things, and feel more connected to nature and your community
When and where:
- Weekly groups on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 8th and 9th July 2025, 10.30am–2.30pm
- Future groups starting in October 2025 and February 2026
- Pick-up and drop-off from Swindon train station.
