Finding Your Way Around the Reserve

Finding Your Way Around the Reserve

Navigation has been made easier at Coombe Bissett Down with the introduction of timed walking routes and waymarkers.

Visitors to Coombe Bissett Down will now find the reserve much easier to navigate.

New kissing and pedestrian gates have been installed to link the old nature reserve to the new land and improve access across the site. There are four timed walking routes varying in length and difficulty, which are indicated on the new interpretation boards located at main entrances to the reserve, and on the updated reserve leaflet that can be downloaded.

Signage

Walkers can follow these routes around the reserve, aided by a series of waymarkers.

Four new benches have been installed to provide rest points at regular intervals.

Bench

Younger visitors might like to bring along some crayons and paper when they next visit, as they may enjoy finding and collecting four brass rubbing badges which have been added to the benches.
