Love Your Local Nature Reserve - Widbrook Woods
Our nature reserves aren't just beautiful places to visit – they're one the last spaces safeguarded for nature and home to many scarce species.
At Widbrook Nature Reserve in Bradford-on-Avon, incredible conservation success stories are unfolding, creating perfect conditions for wildlife to thrive.
This vital conservation work has created the perfect habitat, for Kingfishers to nest and for otters to safely return to the waterways. Widbrook is also home to the scarce Chaser dragonfly, which thrives in the slow-flowing open water with its copious shrubs and emergent vegetation along the River Avon.
These aren't distant conservation victories – they're happening right on your doorstep, all thanks to local supporters like you that share our love for Widbrook. But in order for us to do more for nature and continue to protect these spaces which are facing real threats from development, climate change and pollution, we now need your help.
