You may know that we were successful at Stage 1 of our Heritage Lottery Fund bid to enable us to purchase 34.5ha of land next to our existing Coombe Bissett Nature reserve near Salisbury. A Heritage Lottery Fund development grant means that we have been given approval to develop our plans to purchase the land which will double the size of the current reserve and enable us to restore this important block of chalk grassland.
As part of this next phase, we are looking for your views on the development of activities to enable and encourage more people to visit Coombe Bissett Down Nature Reserve and enjoy the wonderful chalk downland.
We’d be grateful if you could spare five minutes to complete our survey. The deadline for completing the survey is the 26th March and you can also enter yourself into a prize draw to win a £50 John Lewis voucher.
Please do pass this survey onto family and friends if you feel they might like to contribute to the consultation.
The results of this survey will feed into our Stage 2 application to the Heritage Lottery Fund. This will be submitted at the end of May 2017. We should hear in autumn 2017 whether the application is successful and, if so, that funding has been approved to enable us to secure the land as a public nature reserve.
On Saturday 4th March we are having a Public Consultation Drop-in at Coombe Bissett Village Hall. See more details below.
