Wiltshire Wildlife Community Energy Wiltshire Wildlife Community Energy was created in 2013 with the goal of developing community-owned renewable projects in Wiltshire. Since then, they have successfully raised the necessary funds and constructed two community solar farms: Chelworth and Braydon Manor. The Braydon Manor Solar Array is the largest community solar scheme in the UK. As part of their work they brought the members of the local communities together and took both projects into community ownership by issuing shares purchasable in public share offers. Aside from the Chelworth and Braydon Manor projects, they also have three community-owned rooftops solar schemes. As their name implies, the protection of wildlife is one of their top priorities. They work with us, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust in order to implement sound biodiversity plans in all our solar farms. WWCE generate c.6MW of electricity from photo voltaic panels each year.
