We’ve come up with the wild idea of challenging ourselves to go as waste-free as possible this February! We’re always out and about talking ‘rubbish’ to people, encouraging them to reduce, reuse and recycle more of their rubbish and we thought it was about time we set ourselves a challenge! In other words, we want to make sure that every piece of waste we produce is either recyclable, reusable or compostable, meaning little to no waste should end up in our black bins (i.e. landfill)!

Yes, we know it’s going to be a challenge but that’s kind of the point! We want to really see what difficulties we face and also what ingenious alternatives people find when going waste-free…

…which means we’d really love to get other people along for the ride too! We don’t expect you to go ‘zero waste’ but to simply have fun with the challenge and treat it as an experiment. We want you to share your daily struggles and triumphs with us on Facebook, www.facebook.com/WiltsWasteWatch , Twitter @SlimBinsWilts  or Pinterest @WiltsWasteWatch using #WasteFreeFeb and keep up to date with our journey by following our blog!

We’ve also popped together a simple guide to get you started with some quick and easy tips – just email us at [email protected] for a copy.
