For the first time and in partnership with Wessex Canicross, this is a fantastic opportunity to get out into the countryside with your best friend doing what they love best, running. You won't find a better place to run than over the Salisbury Plain with its wide vistas, large skies, unique wildlife and historic artefacts from our past. We are able to provide three Canicross events during the Sarsen Trail and Neolithic Marathon 2018. Distances of 5K and 10K runs start and finish at Old Carter Barracks, Bulford with the Half Marathon starting at Redhorn Hill and finishing at Old Carter Barracks, Bulford.

The run starts and finishes at Old Carter Barracks. The start time will be 10.30am.

This event is for 17+ yrs old.

We have unique access across Salisbury Plain for this event but due to military activity, unexploded ordnance and the presence of nesting curlews, we do not have the detailed route until the week before the event. The means the map is only available on the day of the event.

To celebrate your achievements each participant will receive a medal and some light refreshments at the end of the run. Dogs must be on a lead at all times- Dog's will receive a rosette and some dog treats.

How you are helping Wiltshire Wildlife Trust

Entry fees cover the cost of running this event and raise much-needed funds for our work recreating, restoring and reconnecting habitats and landscapes throughout Wiltshire and Swindon. All profits from this event go to our Environment and Sustainability Fund which provides third-party and match-funding contributions for Landfill Tax Credits and other grant funders. this means your support can unlock additional funding for the Trust's work.

So to help give that little extra, make a fundraiser page on our website and get your family and friends to sponsor you to do the marathon; because just £25 from each runner, walker and cyclist we could raise £50,000 for our vital conservation work.

We look forward to seeing you RUN IT - ENJOY IT!

There will be a professional photographer on the day -  to order/view your photos, please visit
