Amesbury River Celebration

8 October 2016, 10am - 3.30pm, River Avon @ Lords Walk

Come and join Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s Water Team for Reed Planting and River Dipping at Lords Walk in Amesbury!

In partnership with Amesbury Town Council, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s Water Team have recently repared several ‘erosion bays’ along the River Avon at Lords Walk, creating a safer, more accessible river walk for the local community.

We are inviting you to join us for the day to plant the repaired banks with native wetland plants and enjoy some river dipping to see what creatures and critters inhabit the river.

Details: Please wear/bring clothes suitable for the weather conditions (wellies/sturdy boots recommended). Please bring a packed lunch. Refreshments will be provided. We will finish the day with some light snacks and drinks.

Cost: Free -  but please contact us to let us know you will be coming so we can give you the meeting location.

Enquiries: For further information please email the Water Team
