Try your hand at traditional wooden spoon carving. This is a great course for beginners to learn how our ancestors worked with wood to create elegant and functional utensils. Take home your handmade wooden spoon. 

The course will be hosted by Tamsin Quin Whinton who has been carving wooden spoons and other items for over four years and now sells her crafts around the world via her online shop. You can visit Tamsin's work here: 

The course will run from 10 am - 4 pm and in that time you will learn basic knife techniques, use of different traditional hand-tools such as an axe, billhook and saw, straight knives, and hook knives and create your own design of wooden spoon, whilst sat outside in nature with an idyllic view. 

Maximum 10 people per workshop. Tools and equipment supplied.
