WSBRC'S 'Map the Gap' project aims to recruit, train and support volunteers to carry out phase 1 habitat surveys of specified sites across Wiltshire in order to fill and/or update knowledge gaps in the County habitat and land use inventory and inform other projects. Grass identification skills are very valuable in carrying out habitat assessments as grasses can be useful indicators of habitats type and condition. This training is intended to expand on trainees habitat assessment skills by focusing on learning how to identify key indicator species and is particularly aimed at individuals who can volunteer some of their time to support WSBRC in surveying sites in Wiltshire. 

The training will be delivered by Jasmine Walters, an Ecologist with John's Associates, and excellent botanist.
