We recognise that in order to remain successful our staff must be professional in their approach and committed to the Trust and its aims. We recognise that this is only possible if those working for us gain appropriate reward and fulfilment from its work.
We are committed to providing both a working environment and employment conditions which will encourage and empower our staff to give their best, take responsibility for their actions and develop for themselves a successful career.
This will be achieved through:
All our staff have a responsibility to create and maintain a positive working environment, where they and our volunteers are supportive of one another, openly offering encouragement and helpful advice.
We are an equal opportunities employer and do not discriminate on any of the protected characteristics.
Volunteers make up a huge part in supporting the Trust's structure and activities. The Trust recognises that volunteer participation is essential in order for its activities to be community-led and this is central and integral to its success and well-being. Consequently, staff member-volunteer relationships are of crucial importance and must be understood and fostered by all staff. A large part of a member of staff's work is directed towards supporting, fostering and optimising the voluntary contribution to the Trust's work.
All our staff are encouraged to take part in voluntary work for the Trust or other organisations outside office hours.
