Volunteering for Wiltshire Wildlife Trust

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust volunteers are very important in protecting, conserving and enhancing the wonderful county we live, work and play in. We value, appreciate and wisely use every hour volunteered.

Volunteer Training

We believe that we need to equip our volunteers with the training, skills, accreditation and qualifications to enable them to reach their potential. To help us achieve this we are an accredited centre for AQA (Assessment and Qualifications Alliance).

Training Courses

For volunteers who have volunteered with us for a minimum of six months and wish to acquire technical qualifications, we offer from time-to-time the following specialist courses:

  • Brush cutting training
  • Chainsaw training
  • Remote first aid

Internal courses and briefings offered by the Trust include:

  • Safeguarding
  • Volunteer leadership (required for all new volunteer leaders)
  • Basic first aid
  • Health & Safety (briefing before all conservation activities)
  • Membership awareness
