With remote working and learning now the new norm, virtual meetings on platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams have substantially grown. On Zoom alone, there are now over 200 million daily meeting participants, compared to just 10 million in December.

If, like us, you are adapting to this new way of working, we have created some virtual backgrounds which are free to download, to bring your meetings to life. Below are the steps you can take to make this subtle but effective change to your meetings.

How to set a new background on Zoom

1. Sign in to your Zoom account

2. In settings, click 'virtual background'

3. Either select one of the default backgrounds provided by Zoom, or choose to add one of our picturesque images below. To do this, click the link to download your chosen image from the choices below, then right click and 'save as'.

4. In Zoom, select the '+' icon and choose 'add image'.

5. Select your chosen nature reserve background and start your meeting in style!

Note: You can also access the virtual background settings whilst you are already in a meeting. To do this, click on the ^ Icon next to the camera button at the bottom of your screen.

It is also recommended to use a green screen, however if this is not possible, it is best to stream from a location with a solid background colour with uniform lighting.
