A team of transect walkers is needed to carry out the butterfly transect on Morgan's Hill nature reserve - a very important downland site for butterflies between Devizes and Calne.

Doing a transect is a demanding activity if a single walker is involved - it requires a weekly walk in tolerable butterfly weather between April and September. However, the more people involved the less commitment is needed. For example, a team of four walkers would only need each one to do the transect once per month - or 6 times in the season. Transect walking usually becomes an involving and addictive activity, and very enjoyable too.

If anyone is interested in becoming part of a team of transect walkers at Morgan's Hill please contact Mike Fuller or Robin Griffiths (Wilts Branch Butterfly Conservation committee members) via the Wilts Wildlife Trust.
