Based:      Lakeside Care Farm – north Wiltshire or The Willows Care Farm – central Wiltshire

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is a leading conservation charity in the UK and has an excellent reputation for the development of ‘green prescriptions’, working to improve people’s wellbeing through engagement with the natural environment.  This work is the basis of our alternative education provision and has proved successful and popular with a wide range of students and their carers.  Due to this we are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Team Leaders to support and shape our expanding Care Farm provision.

We are seeking to recruit two inspiring, knowledgeable and committed Team Leaders to supervise and support the daily operation of Lakeside and The Willows Care Farms. The post holders will be responsible for leading the delivery of nature-based therapeutic activities for children, young people and adults with additional needs, mental health, social and communication difficulties and those in need of emotional support.

Working alongside the Care Farms’ Manager and our experienced staff team, we are seeking Team Leaders to take responsibility for:

  • students – one role at The Willows,
  • horticulture, animals, housekeeping and the site infrastructure – one role at Lakeside.

Experience of working with children and young people with additional needs is essential, as is an understanding of person-centred practice and the use of nature, animals and creativity to support the holistic education of the children and young people we work with.
