Do you have a great idea to help improve the environment, tackle climate change, reduce carbon or increase wildlife in Wiltshire?  This fund could help make it happen.

Wiltshire Wildlife Community Energy (WWCE) develops renewable energy projects to protect and enhance wildlife habitats and biodiversity in Wiltshire. WWCE donates a proportion of its annual surplus income to the Community Fund for awarding grants to Wiltshire-based applicant community and voluntary groups. 

Objectives for eligible projects include:

  • To support wildlife conservation
  • Mitigate climate change
  • Reduction of carbon emissions (including local food, transport, waste products etc)
  • To reduce fuel poverty

Since 2016 £56,000 has been donated to the Community Fund and grants have been awarded to local community projects including: Wiltshire Scrapstore, Seeds 4 Success, Sustainable Warminster, SPLASH – Youth Action Wiltshire and Friends of Biss Meadows.

The Community Fund is managed by a Community Fund Panel and administered by Wiltshire Wildlife Trust. 

The Fund is currently open for applications and the Panel meet three times a year to decide awards.  Meeting dates confirmed so far for 2023 are: 6 March – applications need to be received at least one week before meetings.
