Description of role:

An exciting and unique opportunity to gain work experience in a competitive sector, for a respected and valued wildlife charity. We are recruiting for a community engagement place which will off the chance to work on our Wild Connections Project.
In this role, your primary tasks will be to assist the Activities Coordinator in the creation, organising and delivery of events. This allows for plenty of scope in terms of creativity, innovations and responsibility. This will include working with a range of groups including project target groups, such as Alzheimer's Support and Help for Heroes, family days and community events. 

You will be an instrumental player in the promotion and delivery of our upcoming festivals. This includes the Festival of Flight, multiple volunteer festivals and our Winter Bird Fayre. 

In this role, you will also have the opportunity of gaining practical conservation skills, by working with our volunteer groups and corporate work parties, out on reserves. This can include habitat management, boardwalk building, and gate installation. In this placement, you will have the chance to challenge yourself, learn new skills and gain valuable experience, all in the beautiful surroundings of Wiltshire Wildlife's nature reserves.

Skills, Abilities, Qualifications and experience required:

  • Maths and English GCSE A*-C
  • A good understanding of using computers particularly Microsoft Office.

Devizes. 

Time and days volunteer required:

Placement for 3-6 months.
