Coombe Bissett Down Nature Reserve

Closing Date:

Monday, 18th October 2021

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is seeking a Farm Worker to help maintain a substantial head of livestock and significant levels of machinery and equipment, buildings and livestock handling facilities throughout the Trust’s southern farming operation. The post holder will work closely with the Senior Livestock Officer to ensure conservation grazing plans are adhered to and records are kept; thus providing a first class conservation service for our key nature reserves in south Wiltshire.

Applicants must share the Trust’s vision for managing special landscapes, be committed and flexible and be prepared to work variable hours (including regular weekends and occasional bank holidays) as the role demands.  This opportunity would suit someone with stock husbandry, agricultural equipment and estate maintenance skills, with a strong desire to broaden and further their knowledge in this specialised area of farming.  However we would also welcome applications from candidates new to farming as training can be provided. It is essential that the successful applicant holds a full driving licence.
