Greener Living Education Forest School Training Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is a recognised centre for the National Open College Network (NOCN) Forest School Qualifications. Our Forest School courses provide you with the understanding, knowledge and practical skills needed to be a Forest School Leader or support a Forest School Programme. Our courses will develop your expertise to work with children in an outdoor environment, enabling you to build their social communication and risk management skills, and to provide opportunities for them to thrive and learn about themselves. By developing a Forest School Programme of your own, you will help children and young people to develop; A positive mental attitude, self-motivation and independence Resourcefulness, self-regulation and resilience Perseverance, self-confidence and communication skills As a registered training centre we deliver qualifications in: Level 3 Certificate in Forest School Programme Leadership (QCF) Level 2 Certificate in Forest School Programme Support (QCF) About the Qualifications The NOCN Level 3 Certificate in Forest School Programme Leadership is designed for learners seeking the knowledge and skills required to lead groups outdoors; or for those wanting to develop their own Forest School programmes. Participants will learn about the Forest School principles and facilitating outdoor activities safely. The minimum age is 19. This course can be completed within six to twelve months and requires 126 guided learning hours and a portfolio to be completed. Cost: £800 Next course: 15 – 19 August, Langford Lakes Nature Reserve, near Salisbury The NOCN Level 2 Award in Forest School Programme Support is designed for those who will be supporting Forest School Leaders and also for school/college staff and youth workers wanting greater knowledge about this subject. The minimum age is 18. This course can be completed within four to six months and requires 48 guided learning hours and a portfolio to be completed.
