Support Us Wilder Future Campaign Take Action Mass Climate Lobby of Parliament The Time is Now Join us at the Greener UK Coalition’s Mass Climate Lobby of Parliament What is this: The Wildlife Trusts is supporting ‘The Time Is Now’ – a mass lobby of MPs at the Houses of Parliament in Westminster on Wednesday 26 June, calling on them to commit to taking the strongest action to introduce legislation, which will reverse the current catastrophic declines of habitat and species in the UK, and put nature back into recovery. Thousands of supporters of environmental organisations will come from all over the UK to be present, to meet with their MPs and raise the profile of this critical issue with the media. Why is it important: The recent IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) gave the world 12 years to take urgent, radical action to avoid irreversible climate change; this was one year ago and change is not happening quickly enough. Meanwhile our plant and animal species are dying at an alarming rate – the time is now for all of us to stand up for what we hold dear. How can I get involved: Email [email protected] to book a seat on the coach. Wiltshire Wildlife Trust encourages you and your family and friends, to be part of our Wiltshire delegation to this important event. The mass lobby will be taking place in and around the houses of parliament in London on 26 June, and we need as many people to sign up to take part, to organise to meet with their MP, and to travel with us to London to be part of the lobby and symbolic action – where at 2pm participants will all ring alarm bells together.
