About the event

This hands-on workshop is an invitation to slow down, look closer, and connect with the environment in a truly creative way. We'll begin by exploring the area around us, foraging for our materials and learning to spot the artistic potential in the overlooked treasures at our feet.

We will be creating paints from soft clays and vibrant pigments from crushed berries and petals. We will gather interesting sticks, wonderfully shaped leaves, and delicate grasses, using them to build, print, and sculpt.

You may be inspired by the intricate patterns on a leaf, the rugged texture of bark, or the curve of a windswept branch.  Or, you can let your imagination lead the way! Construct a sculpture, make a painting from leaves and flowers, or create a creature from twigs and seeds. This is a wonderful opportunity to play, experiment, and make art in a new and liberating way.

At the end of the session, you will leave with your own work of art.
