Nature reserves

All our nature reserves remain free and open for you to visit, however please stay local to your area.

If you are accessing our nature reserves, please adhere to current government guidelines around social distancing.

Do not attempt to enter the bird hides as these are closed to keep you safe.

Please stay on the paths. Straying from the paths is a threat to nesting birds and can cause damage to emerging wild flowers.

Please keep your dogs on the lead, clean up after them and take the waste home for disposal.

If you witness any vandalism or spot anything of concern during your visit, please report this to us immediately via [email protected]. Please note that any necessary repairs may not always be immediately possible as the majority of our staff are working from home.

We are unfortunately having to cancel most of our planned events and activities until further notice, apart from virtual events and those which can be done safely in a socially distanced manner.

Volunteering groups are currently restricted to 6 people with strict social distancing in operation, and volunteers must stay in their local area. We kindly ask those who are classed as extremely vulnerable not to attend our group volunteering events at this time.
