If you enjoy working with children, can give up a day or two over the summer months from April to July, and are keen to pass on your passion for wildlife to the next generation then we need you!

We are looking for School Visit Assistants to help out with our busy season of school educational visits at Langford Lakes and Lower Moor Farm. Most schools like to visit between April and July and take part in a varied programme of workshops, including river studies, pond dipping, bug hunting, native animal and plant themed activities and map skills. Our programme of workshops on offer to schools can be found here.

The school programme is led by someone from our team of experienced Education Officers, but it makes such a difference to us having a volunteer there to help out.

We meet by the car park next to the café at Langford Lakes or the main carp park at Lower Moor Farm. Or at a pre-arranged location with the Session Leader that you will be working with.

No qualifications needed but you will need to be DBS checked.

We provide a hot drink at lunchtime, but please bring your own lunch, snacks and weather appropriate clothing.

If you are interested in this role please contact [email protected] with 'YEW Team’' in the subject line.
