Wiltshire Wildlife Photography Prize

Capturing the Wild: Wiltshire Wildlife Photography Prize 2026 is Returning this August!

Time to get your cameras ready. The Wiltshire Wildlife Photography Prize officially re-opens for entries this August with fantastic prizes and a brand-new award category.

Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or just starting out, we want to see your most inspiring shots of Wiltshire's spectacular nature and wildlife.

Bigger Prizes to Be Won

With thanks to our generous sponsors: Wild View Cameras. This year, we have an incredible prize pot up for grabs across our Under 18 and 18 & Over categories:

  • 2 Top Prizes: £100 vouchers for the overall category winners
  • 4 Runner-Up Prizes: £50 vouchers for 2 highly commended in each category

New for 2026: The Wild View Cameras Sponsor’s Choice Award

We are thrilled to introduce a brand-new accolade this year: The Wild View Cameras Sponsor’s Choice Award comes with an additional £100 top prize. Every single photograph entered into the main competition is automatically eligible, there is no need to submit a separate image or fill out an extra form.

Once our panel has selected the winners and runners-up for the main Over 18 and Under 18 categories, our sponsors at Wild View Cameras will look across all entries—regardless of age category—to handpick their favourite image to win the bonus £100 prize.

Plus...

The winning images will be announced on the Trust's social media in mid-September. All prize-winning images will then appear in a feature article in our Autumn-Winter Members' Magazine, with one of the winning images on the front cover. And new for this year, the winning images, along with other highly commended photographs, will form a public exhibition at the Brockbank Centre at Langford Lakes Nature Reserve in November 2026 - celebrating Wiltshire's incredible wildlife and the photographers who captured it!

Stay Tuned!

Full entry details, terms and conditions, and the official submission link will go live here on Saturday 1 August. Pictures must be taken in Wiltshire within the last 2 years. Start exploring Wiltshire's wild spaces now to capture that perfect winning shot!

Could You Be a Judge for the Wiltshire Wildlife Photography Prize?

Every year, we are blown away by the talent of our members and supporters who capture the stunning beauty of Wiltshire’s landscapes and wildlife. This year, we want our members to play a role in celebrating those moments.

We are looking for a nature lover from our member community to join our judging panel for the Wiltshire Wildlife Photography Prize.

You don’t need to be a professional photographer to apply—we are simply looking for someone who have a keen eye, a deep appreciation for the natural world, and a love for local wildlife.

What's involved:

You need to have a couple of hours free in the first week of September to help. It’s entirely remote. You will review a curated shortlist of stunning images and cast your votes using our quick and easy online survey.

If you would like to help us choose this year's winners, we want to hear from you. To nominate yourself, please email comms@wiltshirewildlife.org with no more than 50 words explaining why you would make a fantastic judge for this year's competition.

We can't wait to see our community shape the future of this year's awards!
