Folk tales from the chalk Their origins lost in the oral tradition, these stories from Wiltshire reflect the wisdom of the county and its people. These tales bring alive the landscape of ancient barrows, stone circles and rolling hills and the personalities that haunt Salisbury and the Downs. Kirsty Hartsiotis is a South West-based storyteller and writer. She has been telling stories to adults and children of all ages professionally since 2000. She came to storytelling with a lifelong love of stories and history, and a background in drama, heritage and education. She fell in love with Wiltshire at a young age, when she discovered megaliths and King Arthur. She was thrilled to write Wiltshire Folk Tales exploring in depth the county’s lore and stories from prehistory right up to the ghost tales of the present day. This is a FREE talk open to all which will be live-streamed on our Facebook and YouTube accounts at 11am. The event will be 45 minutes long with a 15 minute Q&A at the end.
