Meet our Trustees

Mark Street

Mark is a Land Agent with a strong agricultural background having spent the first 20 years of his life living, and mucking in, on a 300 acre tenanted family farm near Tisbury, south Wiltshire.  Early in his career Mark worked in Livestock Markets in Shaftesbury and Salisbury and has also been involved in the management of some significant rural estates in Wiltshire and Northamptonshire.

He is currently the Senior Estate Manager for the National Trust in Purbeck; previously he was Head of Estates for the 254,000 Ha Public Forest Estate in England which the Forestry Commission manages on behalf of the Government, and over 20 years has managed diverse property portfolios from Cumbria to the New Forest and Dorset.

In his home life, Mark has been the Director of a Community Land Trust and Community Interest Company in Wilton and continues to be inspired by the work of wildlife champions across Wiltshire. His family home is in Westbury.

Martyn Allez

Martyn Allez is a retired Programme Director who specialised in delivering large-scale business and IT transformations, mainly for international banking and financial companies. He joined the Trust as a volunteer in 2019 and joined the Council as a Trustee in 2020. He has a special interest in the governance of organisations and the ethical opportunities that result from this. Despite his technology background he believes that often the only technology required for a task is a pencil and paper.

Martyn has lived near Salisbury (“a reasonable walk from Langford Lakes”) for over 29 years. He is studying for a Masters degree with the Open University and plans to complete this in 2021.

Charles Fattorini

Charles Fattorini retired from the British Army in April 2018 where he had an operationally focused career across the globe. He has extensive exposure in high-threat environments with considerable experience at international, diplomatic, ministerial and head of state engagement. His last appointment was on secondment to the Sultanate of Oman as a security and defence advisor and head of the UK military mission. He has held numerous leadership roles and has broad managerial experience within both MOD and FCO.  He has a Masters in Military Studies and is a Fellow of the Chartered Managers Institute.

Charles’s interest in Wiltshire Wildlife Trust started when he commanded one of the operational training units on Salisbury Plain which had to have a close relationship with Natural England, Defence Estates and a host of wildlife volunteers.

In semi-retirement he runs his own consultancy and a small-holding in Somerset and is a Trustee for The National Muslim War Memorial Trust.  He is a member of the British Deer Society and Somerset Wildlife Trust.  He is married to Cecilia, an artist, and they have two children.

Julian Barlow

Julian Barlow
Trustee

Julian Barlow is Managing Director of BFC Marcomms Ltd, a Public Relations consultancy providing PR services across Europe for Pharma and Medical devices clients and organisations operating in the Built Environment.
He has a BA (Hons) in History and Politics, as well as an MA in Newspaper Journalism.

Julian lives in Wiltshire and serves on the Parish Council in Compton Bassett. He and his wife have taken up beekeeping and are members of the Kennet Bee Club.

Peter Luck

Peter Luck
Trustee

Peter co-heads Bank of America’s UK Investment Banking team.

He served four years in the army including a period being based in Warminster, which meant spending much of his time on and around Salisbury Plain.

Peter is passionate about conservation and is also a member of the RSPB and the Woodland Trust.  

He is married with 3 young children.

Matthew Jolley

Matthew currently works for Barclays Bank as a Director within the International Corporates division, where he heads up a team that supports the UK and European subsidiaries of global corporations. He has worked in banking for 20 years across Australia and the UK in a variety of leadership, client coverage and debt finance roles. 

Matthew sits on the Barclays International Corporates Green Lending Committee and has a keen interest in green banking. Since January 2018, he has been a member of Wiltshire Wildlife Trust's Finance Committee. 

Matthew studied Business Management at Deakin University, Melbourne, and emigrated to the UK 12 years ago. Matthew currently splits his time between London and Tisbury and spends free time with his wife and baby daughter exploring the Wiltshire countryside.

James Ravine

James Ravine
Trustee

James has been a Trustee since 2014 and is also a member of Finance Committee and the Property Working Group.

James has been working in Fundraising management for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust at its Slimbridge headquarters since 2014. Prior to this role, he enjoyed a varied career of more than 20 years in Financial Services, holding a number of senior positions with major international financial institutions. He also ran his own property business. James read Geography and Biological Anthropology at Cambridge University. 

For many years an active volunteer in conservation, since starting a new career in the sector, James has been living in the Cotswolds AONB. For its great fauna and flora biodiversity James counts Lower Moor Farm as his favourite reserve and one day hopes to spot one of the site's otters on one of his visits there.

Denise Plummer

Denise Plummer
Trustee

Denise is a trustee of Wiltshire Wildlife Trust with a responsibility for Safeguarding and is the chairperson for a new Sustainability committee.

Denise is specialised in dairying and has worked at the MMB Veterinary Research Unit. For 45 years she has lived on a dairy and arable farm in North Wiltshire. She has held voluntary positions with many organisations in the county, including on an environmental committee with the NFU. Denise works at a farm visitor centre, especially connecting school children and the public with farming and the countryside. She has been involved with all the Wiltshire AONBs and she is a member of the MDNIP. Denise also sat on a WWT steering group formulating the original "BAP ".

Denise loves all aspects of the countryside, flora and fauna, walking and taking photos of anything from a tiny insect to a large tree.

Rosemary Collingborn

Rosemary Collingborn

Ro Collingborn is a partner in a north Wiltshire dairy farm, with a pedigree herd of 100 Friesians grazing for much of the year. The farm is managed ecologically, is in the Countryside Stewardship Scheme and a catchment sensitive area. 1,400 trees were planted some time ago to create a wildlife corridor through the farm and every field is bounded by hedges and ponds extant, providing habitat for a large and varied bird population.

Ro has also served on various national committees. She was Dairy Chairman of the Women’s Farming Union, the Farmer Member on the Veterinary Products Committee, a National Trustee for the RSPCA and Council Member of the Milk Development Council.

She has a lifelong interest in conservation and was keen to engage actively with WWT, having a particular interest in the flora and fauna of north Wiltshire.
