Wiltshire is a county teeming with natural beauty. From the flash of a kingfisher on our chalk streams to the silent grace of a barn owl hunting at dusk, to our breahtaking vistas and undulating landscapes. And now it’s your turn to capture it.
The Wiltshire Wildlife Photography Prize (previosuly called Wiltshire Wildsnaps) has launched and we are searching for the most inspiring, powerful, and beautiful images of our county and its wildlife. Whether you're an expert with a long lens or a budding photography with a camera phone, we want to see your view of your Wiltshire.
What will you discover?
Show us the behaviour, the beauty, and the spirit of Wiltshire's wildlife and lansdcapes. Your photography could win you a fantastic prize and be featured in our magazine and online galleries, helping us to showcase our incredible shared natural heritage and inspire more people into nature and photography.
How to enter.
- Images can be of any type of wildlife, nature, or landscapes they can be taken at one of our 40 nature reserves or in any Wiltshire setting.
- Images should be no less than 2mb and should have been taken within the last year (1 August 2024- 22 August).
- Entries must be submitted through our online entry forms before 5pm on 22 August 2025

Meet the Judges
We are delighted to have a panel of incredible judges who will use their expertise to select the winning images from the shortlist.
Nick Upton, Wildlife Photographer & Filmmaker
Nick Upton is an award-winning wildlife photographer and filmmaker with a background as a PhD biologist. After 25 years in wildlife television production for the BBC, he now focuses on telling powerful conservation stories. His work documents major UK projects, from the reintroduction of beavers and cranes to the protection of local hedgehogs and swifts, with much of his photography focused on Wiltshire's fauna. A multiple winner in the British Wildlife Photography Awards, Nick’s passion is using his camera to capture intriguing and often overlooked wildlife behaviours to inspire positive action for nature.
Joanna Richards, Head of Communications & Marketing, The Wildlife Trusts
As the Head of Communications for the national office, Joanna helps to shape the voice of The Wildlife Trusts movement across the UK. She has a deep understanding of the power of visual storytelling in motivating people to take action for nature. With years of experience leading national campaigns and brand communications, Joanna knows what makes an image compelling, memorable, and effective in championing our natural world. She is passionate about photography that not only showcases wildlife's beauty but also conveys a narrative that can inspire positive change.
