Working to Protect and Enhance the river By Brook and its Local Environment (PEBBLE).
Part of a large woodland complex on the River Avon and Kennet & Avon Canal.
The river lamprey is a primitive, jawless fish, with a round, sucker-mouth which it uses to attach to other fish to feed from them. Adults live in the sea and return to freshwater to spawn.
This ancient woodland in Trowbridge was given to us in 1991. The wood connects with our Biss Wood nature reserve and the Green Lane Nature Park.
The Wylye Chalk Stream Project has been successful in the second round of the Government’s Landscape Recovery scheme.
As part of the Future High Streets funding for Trowbridge, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust will be working to enhance the riverside walk and make enhancements to the public realm near the Town Bridge.…
